SelfSync

Analytics tools

Explore your database with the tool you like

Your SelfSync database is a single selfsync-db.duckdb file. Any tool that speaks DuckDB opens it: an AI assistant, a desktop app, your terminal or a few lines of code. Here are 9 of them, with the steps to get started.

One file, no server

DuckDB runs inside the tool that opens it: nothing to install besides the tool itself, nothing to keep running, and your data never leaves your computer.

Not sure where to start? Ask Claude your questions in plain words. Prefer to see your tables? Open them in the DuckDB UI or TablePlus.

Read-only
Open the database in read-only mode whenever the tool allows it. The steps below show how.
One writer at a time
DuckDB lets a single program open a file in read-write mode. If a tool reports the file is locked, close the other one, or open both in read-only mode.
Documented columns
Every column carries a comment, readable with FROM duckdb_columns(). The FIT file reference explains each of them.
